Driving Lessons from a 3 1/2 year old

This morning the boys and I headed to the dentist to get Anderson's 6 month checkup and I got a few driving tips from him along the way. First of all he didn't like the Baby Einstien DVD that Grayson was watching, so I figure that's what made him want to have a chat. Here's how the lesson went.

AI: Mommy, be really careful not to bump into any of the cars on the road.
Me: Ok, I'll try to be careful.
AI: Mommy, you have to turn the wheel this way, then this way, then this way so you don't bump into any of those cars.
Me: Ok, I'll do that so we can be careful.
AI: Mommy, you have to stay on this side of the road and the other cars have to stay on the other side of the road so we don't bump into any of the cars.
Me: That's right. We should stay on our side.
AI: Yep!

Then the conversation is over just like that. He is a very smart boy! I think his Daddy taught him all of this and he figured he needed to teach mommy. It was too cute. The dentist went well. He was such a big boy this time around for his cleaning. I got to sit on the bench and just watch. I didn't have to hold him down kicking and screaming this time. My how much difference six months makes. He is growing up so fast!

One week from Today and Anderson opnions!

In only one week from today we will know if we are expecting another little boy or if by chance it could be a little girl. I'm patiently waiting for next Wednesday at 1:30! I know this next week will drag by! I guess I will have to keep myself busy!
A funny story about Anderson.... We were watching "A Baby Story" yesterday as I have watched for years, and we saw a woman have a little baby. I am always talking to Anderson about "baby" so that he will get used to the idea and he got really interested in the show. From time to time I ask Anderson what kind of baby he wants...a boy baby or a girl baby.. so this is how the "Baby Story" conversation went.

Me: Did you see the woman have the baby?
AI: Eewwww! That's an icky baby.
Me: Do you want a boy baby or a girl baby?
AI: I don't want an icky baby!!!! I WANT a clean baby!

So as of right now he wants a clean baby. Most of the time he wants a boy baby except for one time in Target he saw a cute dress and wanted to put our girl baby in it! We've also been talking names since we are really at a loss right now. Anderson decided last night that he was going to name the baby "Mack" after we ruled out naming "him" Grayson and Kai! It may get a little confusing if we name "him" one of those two names! Huh? So Mack it is right now since he is obsessed with anything having to do with the movie "Cars!" Seven days and counting and maybe we can really start thinking about names!

Easter Sunday

DIEGO - Go Diego Go Live in Raleigh

Anderson, Kai, Jenn and I drove to Raleigh on Saturday to see Go Diego Go Live! The boys had so much fun watching Diego after we finally got there. I guess when I got the tickets, I didn't realize it was a three hour drive one way! We were in the car for over six hours! It was worth it to see the smile on Anderson's face as he saw Diego. We took some pictures outside at the fountain and a few inside even though we weren't supposed to use a camera inside. Check out the Baby Jaugar!

Carowinds on Good Friday

We decided to start using our Carowinds Season Pass the first day it opened. Anderson was so excited. He remembered a lot from last year. Here is daddy and his boys on the "Little Bill" Boat cruise. I think they just barely fit in the boat. Anderson loved driving while Grayson pulled the string to ring the bell!
Here we are on the needle. The boys really liked it. We got to see uptown and all of the rides!
Anderson on the Backyardigans swings. This is his favorite ride!!

Belly news, waving and bunk beds

I am finally starting to grow a little bit! After all of my first trimester sickness, getting the flu the day I hit my second trimester and then a sinus infection I am feeling so much better. I actually have an appetite now and I'm enjoying eating. I am sure I will catch up from the first 15 weeks of no appetitie. I started to feel the baby move this week and it's the most wonderful feeling ever. I'm convinced that this baby will be a computer nerd, since he/she moves most when I'm on the computer. But it's probably the only time I'm still during the day too! The big ultrasound is in 12 days on April 2nd at 1:30! We are excited about finding out what we will be adding to the family. Then we really have to concentrate on a name. I'm still saying it's a boy until proven different. I guess I've convinced myself that I can only have boys. Three boys would be lots and lots of fun, but so would two boys and a little girl. We'll just have to see!

Grayson finally started waving yesterday!!!!! He is 16 months old today and just starting to wave!!! I think Anderson was waving at 10 months... My how they are different. Grayson is too funny! He is such a wild little man getting into all his mischief that he didn't have time to learn how to wave. We were saying bye to MawMaw yesterday and he just waved! It was too cute!!

The boys and I drove to Spartanburg yesterday to pick up the bunk beds that we ordered about 5 weeks ago. Anderson was so excited, since we took his toddler bed apart three nights ago. We were going to wait to get the beds for a few more weeks, but since he fell off the mattress onto the floor the first night I decided we needed to get the beds as soon as possible. He started coughing at about 5:30, so I went in and found him in the fetal position on the floor in front of his window saying "Mommy" in the saddest voice. He was freezing!!! We'll we got back from Spartanburg at about 5:30 and started putting the beds together and discovered that the footboard to the full bed was cracked...... Arrrghhh.. I drove for 2 1/2 hours total and still do not have beds that we can keep. We will be calling to complain today and see if we can't get a new footboard. We did get it put together for last night and Anderson slept great in his new bed. It takes up a lot of space in his room though. We didn't put the top bed on yet, since we will need a new piece and of course we don't need it yet anyway!
