Visit to Knoxville

Two weekends ago we made the drive to Knoxville to visit Derek and Claire and meet their new little man Spencer! He is such a cutie pie! Derek and Clarie are just the cutest new parents. Spencer is adorable and is such a happy little boy. We had a great time and really enjoyed our visit.

Grayson's 18 month appointment

My little guy is growing up so fast. He is 18 months old today and we went for his well check up. He was such a good boy! He didn't cry at all while he was getting checked out and didn't even tear up when he got his three shots. Dr. Glass said he gets the award for the best 18 month old patient he has seen in a long time! I'm guessing most of them try to get away from the doctor or cry lots. I was proud that he was so well behaved. Dr. Glass isn't worried about him not talking at this point. He said as long as he understands everything you say, can follow directions, and can point to body parts he is doing fine. I'm sure he will start talking soon!

Growth wise he is doing great. He has grown a whoping 4 1/2 inches in just 6 months.. I can't believe it! I knew his clothes were getting shorter, but that just seems like a lot in a short amount of time. He went from being in the 60th percentile at 12 months to being in the 97 th percentile at 18 months. His weight was 25 lbs. 2 oz. which is up 2 pounds from 12 months. That puts him in the 50th percentile. Brandon kids with me and claims that he is not his (blonde hair blue eyes).. well I guess this proves that he is his child.. TALL and THIN!

Florida Trip: Part Two

I've been so busy, so just getting around to putting up the second half of our trip. After leaving Naples on Sunday, we headed for Orlando for the second half of our vacation. We were glad to be leaving all of the wedding stuff and getting on our own schedule. It was much easier and I knew the kids would be a lot happier! My pics are switched so the Sea World ones are first. We went to Sea World on Tuesday. The boys liked it ok.. just not a lot of things to ride. They liked the whales and dolphins, but only for a few minutes... forget sitting through a whole show.
Anderson on the Manatee
(we didn't see the "Don't sit on the Statue" sign until I was getting him down)
Grayson loving the sand in the kids play area
Anderson showing me the sand in his mouth
On Monday we went the the Magic Kingdom. It was a great day to go. It wasn't very crowed and the longest we waited for a ride was about 30 minutes (astro-orbiter). We did decide the do Fantasy Land after 7pm and pretty much walked right on every ride. The boys loved Magic Kingdom! I just love seeing it through their eyes. Grayson would get really nervous waiting to ride something and take the skin inside my arm and pinch it! OUCH!!!! Once we got on the ride and it started to go he LOVED it!
Anderson playing in the water at "Donald's Boat"
Grayson having a snack
Anderson on one of his favorite rides
Tomorrow Land Transit Authority
He likes going through all of the tunnels (we rode it 3 times)

She has a FULL name now!!

It's official! Our little girl will be named Aubree Caroline Snyder! Brandon finally agreed with Anderson and me and decided that this would be her name. Anderson had already decided about a month ago that this was her name, but he had convince his daddy. Brandon decided he wasn't going to win the battle against Anderson and gave in. Yeah, I'm glad she has a full name now! Time to get to work on getting ready for her arrival.

Florida Trip: Part One

Our family vacation this year consisted of lots of driving all over the state of Florida. Anderson was asked to be the ring bearer in Chad's wedding (one of Brandon's good friends from college.) The wedding was in Naples, FL. We drove to Gainesville to stay with a Bryan and Alyssa who are in their second year of residency, whom we haven't seen in two years. It was nice to catch up and break up our drive a little. On Friday, we headed to Naples, caught about an hour on the beach and then had to do the whole rehersal/rehersal dinner thing. On Saturday, we swam a little in the morning and hung around the hotel until it was time for the wedding. Anderson was SOOOOO tired by 2:30 when we left the hotel that he fell asleep on the way to the church.. He was not happy when we had to wake him up and so not in the mood to walk down the asile.
This is a picture of him in the hotel (pre-nap) showing off his suit. He didn't have his bowtie yet, but still looked very handsome.

Being "cheesy" in his Big Boy Suit Anderson was not really in the mood to walk down the asile, so I had to bribe him with something so he would do it. We agreed on a Blue Icee if he did it! I stood in the back of the church, with Grayson in the stroller (not happy) to get Anderson to walk down. He started and didn't like the runner they had rolled down so he was a little reluctant. He turned around and walked back to me, so I reminded him about the Icee. He then turned around, put the ring pillow over his face, and walked down the aisle. He didn't see Brandon down on the front pew whom he was supposed to go to so he turned back and ran all the way back down the asile to me.. It was really cute. What more can you expect from a 3 1/2 year old. Everyone thought it was adorable.
He got his Icee! It wasn't blue (he still had to take pictures)
