Ouch!!!!

I have a Cornea Abrasion!!!!!! It was lovingly given to me this morning by my sweet little gal as she poked me in the eye!! It took me all day to figure out how it got scratched. I love Lake Wylie Express care by the way. They are super speedy!! Needless to say it HURTS!!!!
On another note, we will be updating Blueberry Buckle's website this week with current inventory, www.blueberrybucklekids.com if you would like to make a phone order. We can accept paypal, or credit cards by phone if you would like something but were unable to come to the sale. There are still great items left!

9 Months Old

Better late than never!!!! I'm only two days late with Aubree's 9 month post! I couldn't even imagine why.. I'm not busy or anything! :)

9 things to Love about my sweet Aubree Claire

1. The delicate baby curls starting to form right above both ears and around the back of her neck. (I'm so giddy that she may possibly have the beautiful curls that Anderson had)

2. The fact that she looks so much like her daddy! (I never get ... she looks just like you! It's always.. she looks just like Brandon. I'm ok with that!)

3. Real bows will now stay in her hair!!!! Bye Bye glue-in bows! They were a mess!

4. The sweet way she flirts with her daddy, by tilting her head to the side and smiling so big her eyes get squinty.

5. The way she clings to me when someone else wants to hold her! (I have to be honest here... .this phase doesn't last forever, so I do love it.. most of the time, unless I have a million things to do and NEED someone else to hold her!!)

6. The way she runs her tongue over her newly broken through teeth (5 to be exact) to try to figure out what the heck is in her mouth!

7. How she sticks her tongue out and to the side when she's concentrating really hard on a task.... That's her way to think!

8. The cute way she's already opinionated!... probably won't be so cute in a few months :)

9. Her sweet laugh when I play "piggies" with her toes!

It's Offical!

After a year of debating, deciding to, deciding not to, changing our minds a million times, we have decided to put our house on the market. We have an official Remax sign in the front yard as of 5:30 this afternoon. I'm nervous about keeping it clean, but ready to move on. We are putting it up now, so that it will give us enough time to get into South Carolina before Anderson starts school in August 2010. Anderson's only concern is if we get to take our toys with us to a different house. I think he's seen Toy Story too many times!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Our big shipment is in for Blueberry Buckle and we have been crazy busy trying to sort it and get all of the details ironed out for our show in two weeks. The outfits are so darling that we ordered. Much more beautiful than we ever thought. It was a challenge to find a place to store it all before the show! So we are really hoping that people come to buy us out, so we can start planning for fall and winter! Scarecrows, pumpkins, Santa's and reindeer, oh my!!! We have also been busy getting our credit card machine set up, purchasing racks for the show, and pricing all of the merchandise.......It has proven to be A LOT of work!!! But I'm enjoying it! Of course, Aubree had to get some of the goods. Here she is in the "ducklings" bubble by Collection Bebe! It's so cute. Don't mind her hair looking messed up! It was late in the day and she had already lost her bow and her hairbrush evidently!

Blueberry Buckle

Ok... the truth is out.

I haven't been posting too much lately or really been with it at all, because I am in the middle of a HUGE project! I along with a good friend of mine, Christina are now small business owners. That's right!!! We have started a small business called Blueberry Buckle selling children's boutique clothing at a major discount off of the boutique price and have already sold some things on eBay to get started. We are selling clothes manufactured by Vive La Fete, Inc. We have gotten one shipment in and are awaiting another HUGE shipment of the most adorable smocked and appliqued outfits and outfits ready to be monogrammed. We don't have a building for our business, instead we will be having two to three "shows" per year in my home. One for Spring/Summer, another for Fall and hopefully one for Christmas/Winter. They won't be your typical come look at samples, order from a catalog, pay shipping and handling, wait 4-6 weeks.... kind of shows. They will be "Cash and Carry" shows. Come browse the racks, pay, and take home that day. And the best part is we will be able to take cash, checks and even credit cards.

A girl that I went to high school with and her mother have started a business like this in Spartanburg and I have gotten a lot of clothes for the kids at her shows. I took Christina with me to one and we have been planning on having a business like it ever since that day. That was December 2008 and now it is all finally coming together (after lots of hard work, many sleepless nights and countless hours of planning.)

Our Spring/Summer show will be on May 30th from 10 am - 5 pm here at my house. If you are on my email list you will most likely be getting an invitation this weekend and if by some reason you don't get one, and would like more info please let me know in the comments section. Also, you could forward it on to anyone that you think might be remotely interested or bring them with you!

*The best part of it all is that these boutique clothes are such great quality and hold up so well with wear that I am able to sell them all the next season on eBay and make back at least 75 to 80% of what I paid for them.. Sometimes I have even made back more than I paid for them. It's like renting clothes! So smart!

Check out our website at http://www.blueberrybucklekids.com/ or look at our link to the right of my blog.

Lastly, the faces of Blueberry Buckle. Aubree and Christina's little girl Avery! They were born 15 days apart! They are both modeling clothes made by Vive La Fete's Monday's Child line!

We're Home

Grayson is doing well after surgery! Dr. Clyne took such great care of him and decided to take his adenoids once he got in there and took a look. Grayson handled the wake up from anesthesia a lot better this time around. They let me hold him for him to wake up which I think helped and he was able to drink some apple juice without pain this time around since nothing was cut under his tongue like last time. He's getting some of his energy back now and isn't acting "drunk" anymore! We will see if he will be "calm" enough to nap this afternoon.. .for those of you who don't remember he became "Superman" after the last surgery and didn't want to sleep for a long time. Brandon is staying home all day so one of us plan to try to lay with him to get him to sleep today. We are all pretty tired, but glad it's behind us! Thanks for everyone's kind words!

More Surgery!

I've been slack on posting lately and have been meaning to post about Grayson's latest trip to the ENT! He went back for his three month check up with Dr. Clyne to check on his tounge and the persistent fluid in his ears and surprise surprise there was fluid in both ears. They weren't infected (yet) just full of fluid. His ears are not draining properly, therefore probably affecting his hearing and maybe the reason he says a lot of his words like they are muffled. He probably hears like he is under water. Poor sweet boy! Dr. Clyne also wants to check his adenoids while he's under anesthesia to most likely remove them as well. And third, he will have some blood taken while under to test for allergies. He always has a runny nose and cough, so Dr. Clyne wants to figure out what is causing all of his discomfort. Well, fast forward a few days after the ENT appointment and he comes down with a fever of 102.5 and I immediately knew what was wrong. So, in the midst of the swine flu hysteria I had to take him to the doctor with signs everywhere warning to let someone know if you have the symptoms and if you have been to one of the outbreak cities or countries. You could tell people were on edge. Yep, he has an ear infection and is now on antibiotics. I really hope that after his surgery, we won't be at the doctor every month with an ear infection, at Target every month to get Omnicef, and maybe just maybe he will have clearer hearing. He will have his surgery this Thursday, and of course since he was a bear after the last surgery I am not looking forward to the after effects of the anesthesia. Say a prayer for us all!
