My New Hobby!

My mom and I have decided to take our hobby to the next level.. making things for others. A lot of you know that I love ANYTHING monogrammed so when I found out I was having Aubree my mom bought a machine! Lots of people ask me where I get some of the things that we are making, so I decided to make a blog to offer these things to others at a pretty good price! Check it out at www.alhobby.blogspot.com or click the link at the right of my blog. Here is a little sneak peek! We make paci clips, bow holders, ponytail holders, pull clips, diaper covers and fun new things to come like monogrammed wipe cases, monogrammed sippy cups, monogrammed travel mugs, and so on! Check it out and tell your friends about it too! They make great Christmas or Baby Shower gifts!

Time to Stop and Think!

With all the chaos in my life the past few weeks and running around in the rat race of life, sometimes I forget to stop and think about how wonderful and blessed my life is. I got a chance today after we had playgroup at our house (5 four year old boys, 5 toddlers, and 2 babies.. yes that's 12 kids) to just sit and marvel at my beautiful children. Sounds cheesy, but we all sat on my glider in Aubree's room and watched a cartoon together and just snuggled! Yes, that's right, all three kids sat on my lap and I ate up every single second of it. I love when they just want to sit with me and cuddle! It makes me feel needed! I just sat there and thanked God for sending each one of them to me and for letting me be their mommy! There are days when I want to just dig a whole and hide from them (like yesterday when Grayson threw four tantrums in the waiting room at the dr.), but then I remember that they are still such a gift from God! Life gets so busy sometimes, I should always take the time to Thank the Good Lord for blessing me!

Breaking Out the Bumbo!

Aubree tries to lift her head and upper body up off the floor, so we decieded it was time to help her out and try out the bumbo! She loves it for a few minutes at a time. She is so strong in it and very cute! Everyone had to try it out! I caught a pic of Grayson in it.

Never A Dull Moment!

Well, I just brought Grayson back from his overnight stay in the hospital! He had a little fever on Halloween night and kinda a cough before he went to bed. I was awoken at 5:45 Saturday morning to the worst sound ever, but very familiar. He was gasping for breath while having a barking cough. He had a bad case of croup.. which I suffered from several times as a child. I scooped him up brought him to my room to wake myself up and realized he was really having a hard time breathing. His chest was retracting pretty bad, so I took him to the boys bathroom and steamed it up with the shower. He started to breathe a little easier and Brandon called the on call nurse. By the time he got in the bathroom the nurse was calling back. She told us to stay in the bathroom for another few minutes and bring him to the ER uptown at Levine Children's Hospital. I threw clothes on and got him there pretty quickly. They gave him two breathing treatments and some steriod medication while we were in the ER for 8 hours....... (thank goodness we had our own room and a TV)... We overdosed on Playhouse Disney! They decided it would be best to watch him overnight and just in case he needed another treatment. Brandon had to stay with him, since I'm Aubree's milk truck. It was soooo hard to leave my sweet baby boy in the hospital. Our house was so empty without him here last night and Anderson missed his roommate! I got up early, and went up to be with him this morning and he was realeased at 10:15 and is doing so much better! Man, he scared me!
