5 Months Already!!

Aubree actually turned 5 months yesterday, but due to the fact of 2 of the 3 kids didn't sleep on Monday night I was barely able to function much less blog! Grayson is roaming around the house at night and Aubree has become very dependent on me getting her back to sleep...... They did a lot better last night, but I had to let Aubree cry and just pray she didn't wake up Grayson. Therefore, we are trying to sleep train Aubree. I thought we had it down last week, but then she decided she wanted out of her swaddle blankie and positioner and now she is sleeping with nothing (except of course her jammies)!!!!! Thank goodness, since I think all of the things she was dependent on was making her not sleep well. Crying it out is so hard, but she's gotta do it sooner or later, and I vote for sooner!
She's just a great baby though and I'm so lucky to have gotten this little girl! She lights up my life each day when she smiles with her eyes!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I've said before, I am SOOOO in love!
She will be getting her band on Jan. 30th and he thinks she will only have to wear it two months at the max!!!! I'm looking forward to her head getting rounder! Here are some pictures from the past month! Enjoy!

Trying to sit up

I love these eyes

She is getting so strong. She sometimes tries to get her knees under her! She'll be crawling in no time!

Smiling with those beautiful eyes

Trying on snowsuit for our ski trip

Hanging out with Mena

We tried her on solids and she didn't care for them AT ALL! I guess we'll put them on the back burner for another month! Could this bow be any bigger??

Bye Bye Nappy Poo and sleeping in!!!!

Grayson must of had SuperMan drugs on Thursday during surgery, b/c he now can JUMP out of his crib! He hasn't napped since Wednesday of last week and then decided he would JUMP out of his crib at night too! We FINALLY broke down and said good bye to the crib last night and bought a mattress for the top of the bunks and moved everyone to thier "new" beds. Anderson was so excited to sleep up top (he did great) and Grayson feel asleep right away in his big boy bed! I checked on him several times to make sure he was ok throughout the night and of course had to feed Aubree at 12:30! I had a beautiful blonde boy staring me in the face at 5:30 am this morning!!!!!!!!! (BOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO) I have always prided myself for having children that "slept in".. I guess those days are over. He wanted chocolate milk, so I got that for him and I let him get in our bed to try to go back to sleep! He was snoring with his paci clicking a few seconds after finishing his milk. I had almost got back to sleep when Aubree starting crying. I feed her and brought her to bed with me and Grayson and when Brandon left for work I had 2/3 of the Snyder kids in the bed with me... I had just gotten back to sleep when Anderson started yelling for me to help him down......... Grayson slept until 8:30 in my bed and when he got up he went "Pee Pee" on the the potty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!! Who needs sleep right????

Correction: Make that 5 Dr's appts and one surgery!

Anderson woke up yesterday morning with eye gunk.... therefore he didn't get to go to school and we had to visit the pedi before we went for Grayson's vision/hearing screening. He got some drops and was good as new by the evening.... After the appts. yesterday I realized I was starting to not feel well........ hadn't really had time to realize it I guess! I didn't sleep much at all last night due to the dull pain in my ears. I made an appt to see my doc this afternoon and got some meds... Lord, I hope I start to feel better soon.
Grayson will be having outpatient surgery in the morning, as Dr. Clyne thinks clipping under his tongue will help with his chewing and speech problems... We have to be at the surgical center at 6:15 am in the morning and he will be given Versed, then a breathing tube and IV and be put under. PLEASE pray for our little Grayson that God will take care of him and that his tongue will heal quickly! It's only Wednesday and boy has this been a week!

Update - Aubree's Band and Grayson's Speech

Aubree's band Appt.
We went for her band eval today and he wants us to aggressively reposition her for the next ten days (what do you think I've been trying since two weeks old?) and then come back for a remeasure!!!!!!!!! What... How could she really change in ten days? She measured 8 mm in assymetrical difference and when Grayson was evaluated he was a 9 and they didn't think twice about banding him...So as of right now she has another evaluation on the 21st and her band will be ready on Feb. 9th if she is getting one. It's not like I want her to get one, I just know NOW is the only time her assymmetry can be fixed! So one dr. appt down this week two more to go.

Grayson's Speech:
We went for his evaluation a few weeks ago and the speech pathologist put him on a 12 month level and wanted to see him (in Pineville) twice a week for 30 minute sessions... ughhhhh! Even though he can say some words, he didn't speak one for her. We checked with our insurance and we would have to pay our $50 copay every time we walked through the door!!!! So $100 a week!!!!!!!!!!!! That is insane, since we have very good insurance. I remembered a friend of mine that was in the same boat last year and found free services through Meck. county Early Intervention. I called her and started to pursue that route. I finally got to talk with the intake lady and she set everything up. We just had our initial visit this past week and in talking with my service coordinator we came up with some possible answers... Grayson doesn't chew his food completely and he was tounge tied at birth, so she is thinking his mouth/tongue muscles may be weak and that he needs the thingy under his tongue clipped! Lovely! We have a appt. with the ENT on Wednesday and he has his hearing/vision screening on Tuesday. I am just living at the doctors this week. In the next few weeks he will have his evaluation with EI and then we will go from there. The good thing about EI is that they come to our home... where else would he be more comfortable talking but in his own environment............. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading! More updates to come!

Florida Trip and Disney

Before kids Brandon and I were spur of the moment people! We would pick up and go anywhere anytime... since kids things have really changed! We toyed with the idea of taking a trip to Florida to watch Clemson play in the Gator Bowl and quickly dismissed it trying to be practical... but then we changed our minds and planned a quick trip there and to Disney....... (Everyone else had the same idea about Disney) Man was it ever crowded.. more crowded than I have seen it in the heart of the summer! We had a good time though except for Clemson losing! Thanks mom and dad for helping us out watching the boys while we went to the game and for helping us with them at Disney!!!

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas! It was hectic as usual, but always enjoyable! Anderson is really getting into the questions about Santa this year! It gets more fun as the years go by. I am just going to post some pics and spare all the details!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone had a great one too!

All of Maynor's Great Grands

Obsessed with Cars???? No Santa didn't bring all of these... He just added some to their collection

Grayson's Haircut

Grayson hasn't had a haircut since the week before Aubree was born, so it was about time to try one. He was getting really difficult in the bathtub at hair washing time! I LOVE his curls and I thought I would just try to trim it.... (Yes, I am the only one that has ever cut his hair) well I ended up cutting more than I wanted, but he should have his curls again in a few months... I almost cried when I realized how much I was cutting! Here are his before and after pics.
