It's Baby Day for the Holby's

Jenn's water broke at 11ish last night and baby girl Holby made her entrance into the world this morning!!!!!!!!!!! More details to come and hopefully a picture when I get a chance to visit! Baby Mena was 6 lbs. 6 oz. Mom and baby are tired, but doing well! Snyder family is a little tired too as we were back up parents in the middle of the night since the grandparents weren't scheduled to be here until Thursday night! (They drove 10 hours in the middle of the night, so now Kai and Owen are being taken care of by them.)Aubree is soooo excited that her best friend has been born!

"I Got It" and Sweet Smiles

My little "mute" Grayson just blurted out a sentence about an hour ago!!!!!!! Brandon handed him a pencil and out of the clear blue sky he said "I got it!".... I'm sure he won't speak again for another year or so.... :)I'm still in shock that he came out with not a word, but a full sentence! Aubree has begun to smile..... It melts my heart! It appears that she is hamming it up in the photo of me and her on my last post, but it wasn't a real smile.. She really started smiling at Brandon first, which I think is even more special! She's already a "Daddy's little Girl." I got some smiles today as well!!!! She is just precious!

One Month Old

Aubree is already one month old. I don't know where the time has gone. I really want a camera rolling 24 hours a day to catch every moment of her little life! She is such a wonderful baby and is a great addition to our family. She finally picked up nursing at 2 1/2 weeks and instantly started nursing like she had been doing it all along.. She just had to do it on her time I guess. I have weighed her on our home scale (with weighing myself and then me and her) and she is just over 9 pounds. Her cheeks are chubbing up and her little legs and feet are as well. She is getting better at sleep and now is in her crib. We all get a lot more sleep that way. I was jumping at her every move and noise and getting no sleep. I am absolutely loving having a daughter and I change her clothes three times each day whether they are dirty or not. It is so much fun. I have to still keep pinching myself to realize that I have a daughter. We are all so in love! Enjoy some of our most recent pictures.

Survived Our First Week of School and More

Anderson absolutely loves going to preschool. I ask him what he did each day and he can only remember eating snack, eating lunch and playing on the playgroud... I guess those are the most important. I survived the first week of having to walk him (and my other two little ones) inside each morning and walking in to pick him up in the afternoons. Let's just say I look like the walking advertisment for needing to be on birth control!!!!!!!!!! :) Three is a handful.... Grayson goes into Anderson's class each day and I have to drag him out because he wants to stay and play! If I can find some more money he may just have to start in the two's next year! Speaking of having a crew of kids... I was at Target on Wednesday after dropping him off at school and this little old lady said.. "oh how nice you have a boy and a girl" I respond, " I have another little one at preschool" and all she has to say is "how old are you?" I'll just take that as a compliment that I look 22!!!! Tired eyes and all!

On a very happy note, I took Aubree to the peditrician today for a follow up since I was a train wreck when I went for her 5 day visit... He didn't even get to really examine her that day since I think he was thinking about admitting me to the psych ward...... I couldn't talk I was crying so hard about all of our nursing issues.. Let's just say today was MUCH better. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz... and only 10 days ago she was 7 lbs... He said that far exceeds his expectations of weight gain! She is getting better nursing each and every day! She has latched everytime we have tried in the last two days............ Persistance does pay off. I am SOOOOO glad that I didn't give up... I only wanted to a few times.. but so glad that I didn't! Like my mom said to me today about something completely off topic.... a Mattison never gives up... That's a good personality trait to have!!!! This tired mommy is now saying nighty night!!!!!!!

School, Nursing Talk, and More Pictures of Aubree

Anderson started 3 year old preschool today! He's about the biggest in his class. He had to be put in three's since he missed the cutoff day by 14 days. I guess he will always be the biggest which will have it's advantages. He was really excited although, I had to wake him up this am to get there in time. He did great and said he "loveded" it! He was very tired tonight though and that's when a nap would come in handy.... if he didn't think he would miss something by napping.

Aubree and I headed to the LC at noon today to see how she is doing. She was weighed with her clothes on and weighed in at a whopping 7lbs. 14.9 oz. She got right to work nursing and got done in about ten minutes on one side. She then weighed 7lbs 15.7 oz. so she took close to an ounce on that side. I offered her the other and she just fell asleep!!!! Our LC was so pleased that she had made this much progres in a week!!!!!!! This was just worlds of difference from what she was doing last Tuesday!!! We are thrilled. She WILL get it!!!!!! I just know it!

Some pictures of my beautiful little lady!

Couldn't leave out Grayson!

Progress..... Making Progress

Little Aubree is making progress nursing...... Slowly, but making progress. We go to lactation tomorrow to see how she is doing. Say a little prayer for us. Thanks to everyone that commented with your support and for those of you that emailed me personally! It really means a lot to me to know so many people care... I have had lots less tears this week and we are settling more into a rountine of having three children..... More pics to come this week of my three sweeties... I may have some more tears tomorrow morning when my first baby starts preschool!!! Oh my!
