Never A Dull Moment!

Well, I just brought Grayson back from his overnight stay in the hospital! He had a little fever on Halloween night and kinda a cough before he went to bed. I was awoken at 5:45 Saturday morning to the worst sound ever, but very familiar. He was gasping for breath while having a barking cough. He had a bad case of croup.. which I suffered from several times as a child. I scooped him up brought him to my room to wake myself up and realized he was really having a hard time breathing. His chest was retracting pretty bad, so I took him to the boys bathroom and steamed it up with the shower. He started to breathe a little easier and Brandon called the on call nurse. By the time he got in the bathroom the nurse was calling back. She told us to stay in the bathroom for another few minutes and bring him to the ER uptown at Levine Children's Hospital. I threw clothes on and got him there pretty quickly. They gave him two breathing treatments and some steriod medication while we were in the ER for 8 hours....... (thank goodness we had our own room and a TV)... We overdosed on Playhouse Disney! They decided it would be best to watch him overnight and just in case he needed another treatment. Brandon had to stay with him, since I'm Aubree's milk truck. It was soooo hard to leave my sweet baby boy in the hospital. Our house was so empty without him here last night and Anderson missed his roommate! I got up early, and went up to be with him this morning and he was realeased at 10:15 and is doing so much better! Man, he scared me!

Daddy's Birthday and Fall Fun

Happy Birthday to Daddy! We wore out the old guy today by going to the Mom's Club Halloween party first, then the Fall festival at Rivergate and to top it off we ate lunch at Chick-fila with everyone else and their kids that live in Steele Creek!!!! Here are some pictures from our morning. Anderson as a pirate and Grayson as a Frat boy! Somehow we didnt' get any of Aubree in her smocked "Happy Witch" dress! I'll get some in a few days and get them on here!

2 Months Old

Aubree is growing so fast, I want time to stand still. She was 2 months on the 20th and I snapped some cute pics of her this past week! She is growing out of her 0-3 month one piece outfits with the legs being too short, but the 3-6 month one pieces are still a little big... On Thursday at her appt. she was 11 lbs. 12 oz. (75th percentile) and 24 inches (97th percentile). He was still concerned about her flat spot which we are trying to work on. Of course at night she will not sleep unless she is settled in good on that flat spot. He said to try to reposition her and we would reevalutae in at her 4 month. She got some shots and was pretty tough about it.. She also started bringing her handd together and playing with them. It is so cute. I just am SOOOO in love with this little girl!

One month Appointment (at 7 weeks old)

Aubree had her one month appt today a little late since I took her at 15 days to check her weight with all of our nursing issues in the beginning.... it knocked us off a little on being right with her month birthdays. Anyway, she weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz. and was 22 1/2 inches long. She is tall and skinny! She is my smallest baby. Anderson was such a chunker at 1 month 5 days he weighed 12 lbs. 4 oz. and Grayson at one month was about 11 1/2 lbs. The doctor prescribed some cream to try to help with her poor acne, so we will see how that works. Her face actually looked pretty good this afternoon before I even put the medicine on. We also discussed my concerns about how her head is getting flat on her "Favorite" side and how it's making her ear shift a little. You may remember Grayson had to wear a band aka helmet for four months because he favored one side to sleep and his was pretty severe.... I REALLY DON"T WANT HER TO HAVE A BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I would cry! I am really trying to be a meanie and make her sleep on her "non-favorite" side for naps, but she just sleeps so much better on her flat side for night time... I'm not going to disucss her night sleeping, b/c of course I don't want to jinx how well she is doing!!!!!! Aubree's Sweet Smiles

I caught Aubree really awake yesterday afternoon and snapped lots of smiles..... She was hamming it up in her Halloween outfit! Of course I had to put it on her yesterday.. was patiently waiting for October 1st! She is also battling a BAD case of baby acne!!!!!!!! Poor thing! I am so ready for it to be cleared up!

It's Baby Day for the Holby's

Jenn's water broke at 11ish last night and baby girl Holby made her entrance into the world this morning!!!!!!!!!!! More details to come and hopefully a picture when I get a chance to visit! Baby Mena was 6 lbs. 6 oz. Mom and baby are tired, but doing well! Snyder family is a little tired too as we were back up parents in the middle of the night since the grandparents weren't scheduled to be here until Thursday night! (They drove 10 hours in the middle of the night, so now Kai and Owen are being taken care of by them.)Aubree is soooo excited that her best friend has been born!
