We've Broken Ground!

We are SOOOO excited to report the we have broken ground on our house!!! Snow and all on Tuesday, they started to clear our trees. We had our lot walk and pre-construction meeting on Monday to iron out all of the details of our new home and to determine what trees were going and which ones were staying. We are going to have a nice treed (is that a word) backyard since our lot backs up to a natural area. Ryan works quick to build a house, so we are estimating to be in at the end of May/early June. We're pretty excited too since we've heard we're getting some really cool neighbors across the street!!! :)
Our VERY good friends (The Holby's) are building in the 'hood too! Of course, Anderson is pretty excited as well! More pictures to come as things progress.

Exciting! We go this afternoon to make last minute changes with the CAD guy...building should start in April. We'll have lots of prep work on that lot with the basement and all. Can you believe I've started a blog for the house? Its so not like me, but several people keep asking about what's going on, so...

So excited for you! I can't believe how fast they can build. Can't wait to see pictures of the progress. Love your new picture of you and Aubree too!

Amy, that is terrific that they will allow you to keep some trees as opposed to simply cutting all of them down like they did in my subdivision. (It's cheaper for the builder to tear them ALL down sadly enough.) It's also great that your property line backs up to woods. Very cool. :-)The Snyders and The Holbys will have lots of great years together as neighbors.
